NDIS Core Supports

Supporting you to live a life you love

Core support is the term used to describe the support you need for day-to-day living, from household tasks to personal care or getting to appointments. NDIS support workers can provide in-home assistance, as well as assistance to access the community. Our team at Allied Priority Care has all the experience and expertise to offer this service to you with excellence.
Our core support services

Supported Independent Living (SIL)
If you need assistance throughout the day and night, supported independent living (SIL) is for you. This allows people with high-care needs to have 24-hour support from a professional support worker who will assist with personal care, mobility around the house, cooking and cleaning, doing the shopping and medication management as needed.

Life Skills Development
Allied Priority Care can help you with the necessary training to develop a range of life skills that will help you to achieve your daily and long-term goals. These life skills can include personal hygiene and grooming, how to maintain a clean and tidy house, development of communication and interpersonal skills, or numeracy and budgeting as well as using transport independently. With the right combination of professionalism and compassion, you’ll soon be on your way to a more autonomous, empowered life.

Community Access
Community access expands your opportunities for greater social participation in a meaningful way. We know from experience that people with disability often find it difficult to access certain parts of society and may feel excluded. We help you by connecting you to our fun network of community groups, social or sporting activities and by assisting with transport to and from these activities or when visiting with family and friends.

Domestic Assistance
If you have domestic assistance in your NDIS plan, this means that a care worker will visit you in your home to help with household tasks that you may find challenging. When you have different abilities, physical tasks such as folding clothing or washing the dishes may be a challenge. Our NDIS support workers will assist you with anything domestic such as cleaning the house, maintaining the garden and meal preparation.

Self-Care Assistance
Self-care is extremely important to your wellbeing. Sometimes just applying a little make-up or getting your hair done can lift your mood substantially and help you face the day with more confidence. Our caring team can assist you with or supervise daily grooming such as getting dressed, taking a bath or shower, toileting, doing your make-up or shaving to help you live more independently and look and feel great.
